Vitex UV-protected waterproofing

Water-based hybrid elastomeric waterproofing product for flat roofs and terraces, developed using a new technology based on an acrylic-polyurethane emulsion.

It represents a complete hybrid waterproofing system, providing protection for more than 10 years. It has excellent adhesion to all types of building roof surfaces such as concrete, bituminous membranes, cement tiles, old waterproofing membranes, after proper preparation and/or priming with HyRoof Hybrid PU Primer.

SURFACE PREPARATION 

Surfaces must be smooth, clean and dry, free of grease, dust, loose or flaky material. Cracks or joints should first be filled with Elastomeric Putty from Vitex. 

New or weathered surfaces must be primed with Hyroof Primer to stabilize the substrate. 

APPLICATION

Stir well before use. Apply by roller, emulsion brush or spray in two cross-coats without dilution, with a total consumption of at least 1 Lt/m² over the entire flat surface and along the perimeter of vertical parapets with a height of at least 30-40 cm. To protect and increase the lifespan of the waterproofing up to 10 years, it is necessary to use a 50-100 gr/m² polyester fabric as a reinforcing material, which is embedded between the layers while the underlying surface is still wet. The recommended consumption of HyRoof Hybrid PU is 1.1 Lt/m² under reinforcement, top coat 0.8 Lt/m², reaching a total consumption of at least 1.9 Lt/m².

Do not apply at temperatures below 5°C, above 35°C and/or relative humidity above 70%. 

Avoid application when rain or frost is expected within the next 48 hours. 

Dries to the touch in 2-3 hours and can be recoated after 16 to 24 hours. Drying time depends on weather conditions (humidity and temperature). 

Tools must be cleaned immediately after use with water and if necessary with soapy water or detergent.
