Description

Synthetic technology was used in the production of Total Quartz Energy 9000 5W-40 motor oil. It is suitable for gasoline and diesel engines. It is also a good choice if your engine has a turbo or is multi-valve. It can be applied if operating conditions are more severe and for different driving styles, starting from city driving to high-speed driving. 5-liter canister. Specifications: ACEA A3/B4; API SN/CF, compatible with SM and SL. Approvals: VW 502.00/505.00; MB 229.5, compatibility with 229.3 BMW Longlife-01; PORSCHE A40. What should we know about them? ACEA A3/B4 – low-volatility lubricants are designed for gasoline and diesel units with direct injection (TDI). Regarding evaporation losses, as well as piston cleanliness and stability during oxidation processes, they outperform lubricants that have ACEA A3/B3. API SN – used in cars with engines running on biofuel. The approval requires motor oils to be energy-saving. At the same time, it takes care of the additional durability of the unit. They are distinguished by the presence of less phosphorus in their content. API CF - standard from 1994. Designed for off-road, indirect-injected and other diesel engines, including those using fuel with a sulfur content above 0.5%. VW 502.00 – for gasoline units produced after August 1999. Inherits VW 501.01 and VW 500.00. Recommended for engines operating in poor conditions. It should not be applied to those with extended service intervals! VW 505.00 – for diesel engines with CCMC PD-2 performance level. At SAE 5W-40 viscosity, it allows a maximum of 15% evaporation loss. This is an old specification for cars before 2000. Never confuse it with 505.01! MB 229.5 – introduces increased environmental standards of Mercedes. The requirements are increased compared to the ACEA A3/B4 standard, but with additional requirements from Daimler Chrysler AG. Unlike MB 229.3, it provides additional fuel economy of about 1.8%. The approval was introduced before the summer of 2001 and is recommended for OM600 diesel engines, as well as M100 and M200 gasoline engines. BMW Longlife-01 – used in some BMW gasoline car engines, starting from the production year 09.2001 and increased Longlife oil change interval. The basic requirements exceed those of the ACEA A3/B3 classification. Physico-chemical properties: Viscosity class: 5W-40; Viscosity at 40°C, ASTM D445: 89.7 mm²/s; Viscosity at 100°C, ASTM D445: 14.7 mm²/s; Index ASTM D2270: 172. Advantages: Corresponds to the strict requirements of manufacturers regarding the change interval, thanks to which it is distinguished by high oxidation stability; Provides good protection of engine parts against wear, namely thanks to additional additives; Guarantees maximum engine cleanliness; View or download technical certificate Total automotive lubricant catalog
