JBL Stage A120 BK speakers – two-way bookshelf speakers, pair, black

A compact pair of two-way speakers featuring a 25 mm aluminum tweeter and HDI waveguide for a precise stereo soundstage.

JBL Stage A120 is a pair of compact two-way bookshelf speakers developed at the JBL acoustic laboratory in Northridge, California. The 170 x 170 x 285 mm cabinet fits on a shelf, stand, or wall, and the speakers perform equally well as a primary stereo pair and as surround channels in a home theater.

HDI waveguide for a clear stereo soundstage

The proprietary geometry in front of the 25 mm aluminum dome tweeter directs high frequencies more evenly toward the listening area. Vocals and instruments remain in place even when the listener is not sitting directly in the center between the speakers.

114 mm polycellulose woofer

The polycellulose diaphragm handles frequencies up to 3.2 kHz, where the tweeter takes over. The lower limit of 60 Hz covers the fundamental tones of most musical recordings, and for movies, the speakers are combined with a subwoofer.

Bass-reflex cabinet with rear port and foam plugs

The tuned port is on the rear panel and extends low frequencies. Two foam plugs are included in the package to close the port when placed close to a wall or in a furniture niche.

86 dB sensitivity and 6 ohms impedance

Recommended amplifier power is from 20 to 125 W per channel, which covers both compact stereo receivers and mid-range AV receivers. The speakers are passive and connect via cable to the amplifier terminals.
