MAGUS carbon steel trapezoidal spare blades
High-quality spare blades for mock-up knives measuring 61 x 19 mm. Ensure precise cuts through drywall, cardboard, sealants, silicones, rubber and many other materials. Stainless carbon steels are marked depending on their type and carbon content. More carbon means greater hardness, but at the same time greater brittleness. The manufacture of mock-up knife blades requires a balance between flexibility and hardness. 3 types of steel are most often used:
Grade: SK5 - increased carbon content, very good quality/price ratio, and also flexibility/hardness. The package contains 10 blades with a size of 61 mm / 19 mm SK5 and SK2 are Japanese carbon steels. SK is an abbreviation of "Steel Kougu". The lower number indicates fewer impurities, respectively better quality of the steel
Apart from the steel grades, there are also coatings. The black coating provides rust resistance and a better appearance without changing the hardness or sharpness. The gold color is actually a titanium coating, which provides additional hardness and durability.
