PRACTICE ALKYD PAINT
A durable alkyd coating based on organic solvents for decorating pre-primed wooden, metal and other surfaces, used outdoors and indoors.
APPLICATION:
The paint is intended for protecting and decorating wooden and metal objects. It can be used for painting doors, windows, fences, joinery, metal elements, etc.
ADVANTAGES:
• good flowability, which makes application easier;
• has excellent adhesion to surfaces;
• painted surfaces have a silky gloss;
• resistant to washing and rubbing with chemical cleaners;
• 12 colours that allow combining and creating interesting interior and exterior solutions;
REQUIREMENTS FOR THE SUBSTRATE:
The substrate must be sound, dry and well cleaned of dust, grease and other contaminants.
• New wood – it is recommended to impregnate with a wood impregnator, which penetrates the wood, protects it from pests and creates a good base for applying the decorative layer.
• Treated wood – old, damaged coatings must be removed and irregularities filled and levelled with suitable sandpaper. Surfaces already painted or varnished are not primed; they are only dulled with sandpaper before applying the decorative layer.
• Bare metal – it is recommended to apply an anti-corrosion primer. The primer protects the metal from corrosion and ensures good adhesion for the subsequent decorative paint layer.
• Treated metal – old, damaged coatings must be cleaned of flakes and rust down to a firm base, and irregularities filled and levelled with sandpaper. Additional treatment of the rust with a rust converter is recommended. Surfaces already painted are not primed; they are only lightly dulled with sandpaper.
WORKING METHOD:
The product should be stirred very well before use. Apply in one or two coats with a brush, roller or spray gun. Each subsequent coat is applied after the previous one has fully dried, about 12 hours. For the best result, it is recommended to work at a surface temperature of around 350C and relative air humidity of 60%. Do not apply on damp surfaces.
