Description

Floor-standing speakers (Hi-Fi)

Polk Audio Monitor XT60 BK floor-standing speaker, black — pair

Hi-Res Audio certified floor-standing speakers with a frequency range up to 40 kHz.

The Polk Audio Monitor XT60 is a pair of floor-standing speakers for front channels in a home cinema or stereo system. Each speaker combines a 1" Terylene dome tweeter, a 6.5" bass-midrange driver and two 6.5" passive bass radiators, and the recommended amplifier power is 25–200 W per channel.

Terylene tweeter with reproduction up to 40 kHz

The dome tweeter has a 1" diameter and works with a ceramic magnet system with low resonances. The range above the limit of human hearing is the reason the speakers carry the Hi-Res Audio certificate — an advantage with recordings from Tidal, Qobuz and Apple Music.

Bass from a 6.5" driver and two passive radiators

The Dynamic Balance diaphragm has a laminated construction and high efficiency, while the two passive radiators extend the lower end down to 38 Hz. Vocals and instruments in the midrange remain clean even at high volume.

MDF cabinet with internal bracing

The cabinet is heavily braced to limit internal standing waves and parasitic resonances. The front grilles are removed and fitted precisely onto the frame, and connection is via nickel-plated terminals with five connection options.

Dolby Atmos certified and compatible with DTS:X

The speakers work with AV receivers with 4- and 8-ohm outputs, without the need for specialised equipment. With an added height module, the Monitor XT90 system expands to three-dimensional sound.
