ORNAMENTAL GRASS BOTANIST FOXTAIL BARLEY

Perennial herb with attractive purple-silvery axils, resembling the color and shape of a foxtail. Grown for fresh and dry arrangements. Suitable as an accent in flower gardens and lawns. Barley grass gives structure and accent to the garden all year round. Unpretentious ornamental plant. Forms compact tufts with flower spikes 5-10 cm long. Seeds are sown for seedlings in spring or autumn. In early summer, young plants are transplanted to their permanent place every 20 cm. Blooms from June to August. Grows best on sandy and drained soils, and in sunny to semi-shady exposure. Water moderately.
