Description
Mirrorless camera Nikon - Z6 III, black
Nikon Z6 III is a full-frame mirrorless camera equipped with a faster 24MP Partially Stacked CMOS sensor and a range of advanced settings such as more precise autofocus, professional-level 6K internal RAW video, pre-shooting at up to 120 fps, and a smooth, bright, and colorful viewfinder. All of this makes this camera an ideal choice for professionals looking for a versatile, high-quality camera at an affordable price.
Advanced sensor and leading processing
The Z6 III is the first Nikon camera to feature a Partially Stacked CMOS sensor for faster scanning and readout. The camera reads the sensor quickly enough to provide full-width 6K video at up to 60p in N-Raw mode and a flash sync speed of 1/60 sec. This means it reads the entire sensor in less than 1/60 sec.
EXPEED 7 Processor
The EXPEED 7 processor is the same one used in the top-tier Z8 and Z9 mirrorless cameras and perfectly complements the sensor's operation. It achieves speeds approximately 10 times higher than those of the Z6II, helping to unlock the camera's leading features - faster autofocus, smoother viewfinder operation, higher continuous shooting speeds, and higher frame rates for video recording.
The Nikon Z6 III boasts top continuous shooting speeds of 20 fps when shooting in RAW, up to 60 fps when shooting full-frame JPEGs, and 120 fps when shooting JPEGs using DX. All speeds maintain full AF/AE performance.
The camera can handle buffering over 1,000 images in a burst when using the electronic shutter. This means the image sequence is recorded for approximately 50 seconds continuously. The electronic shutter also manages to provide a maximum speed of 1/16,000 sec for working in the brightest conditions with wider apertures.
Fast and intelligent autofocus
Covering the entire sensor area, the Z6 III works with a 493-point AF system, achieving fast and accurate focusing. The combination of the Z mount and sensor speed allows AF reading at up to 120 fps. The autofocus system also maintains excellent performance in low-light conditions with the Starlight mode. It enables focusing down to -10 EV, especially useful for astrophotography, concerts, and other night shooting scenarios. With ISO 64000, which is the highest natural ISO in the Z-series of cameras, the autofocus is extremely useful in more challenging lighting conditions.
The focusing modes of the Nikon Z6 III also include 3D tracking AF, which tracks and recognizes various subjects. Subjects will be automatically detected, focused on, and tracked to ensure sharp focus as they move across the frame.
Eye-Detection AF features improved accuracy and advanced eye recognition within the scene, regardless of how small or large they are in the image frame. It can also be used with customized Wide-Area AF for various subject shapes and sizes.
Professional-level video
With the faster sensor, the video capabilities of the Z6 III are significantly improved. All codecs offer both UHD 4K and higher resolution shooting modes, all of which utilize the full width of the sensor. RAW modes offer 6K or 4K capture, while gamma-encoded modes (ProRes 422, H.265, H.264) offer 5.4K or 4K recording. Using full pixel readout, 6K60p video can be recorded with continuous shooting, while 4K and Full HD recording are also possible at various frame rates, including full-frame 4K recording at up to 120p and Full HD recording at 240p for slow motion.
Internal 12-bit RAW recording at up to 6K 60p in N-RAW format is supported along with internal ProRes RAW HQ. RAW recording offers you a considerably greater tonal and color range.
Bright Viewfinder
The sensor-processor combination of the Z6 III allows, among other things, the creation of Nikon's brightest electronic viewfinder with an incredible resolution of 5,760,000 dots. At 4000 nits, it is 33% brighter than the flagship Z9, making subject details visible even in bright sunlight. This EVF achieves a refresh rate of up to 120 fps, providing a smoother and more realistic viewing experience. The viewfinder also features a higher dynamic range and is compatible with DCI-P3 color gamut - the first of its kind in a mirrorless camera - for bringing real-world colors closer during capture.
Four-axis tilting LCD
The Z6 III includes a unique 3.2'' 2.1-million-dot tilting touchscreen LCD screen with four axes of movement. It allows you to work from a high or low angle, whether shooting in horizontal or vertical orientation. The screen tilts in four directions, allowing easier viewing from various positions, and the user interface orientation will also change depending on how the camera is held.
Dual memory card slots
The camera features one CFexpress Type B slot and one UHS-II SD slot, giving you multiple options for file recording. The CFx slot is suitable for data-intensive applications such as 6K recording and high-speed burst shooting, while the SD slot maintains compatibility with the popular storage format. Additionally, the CFx B slot is also compatible with XQD memory cards.
Lens Nikon Nikkor Z 24-120mm f/4 S
Nikkor Z 24-120mm, f/4 S is a versatile zoom lens, extremely suitable for everyday use with full-frame cameras from the Nikon Z system. The body is equipped with a programmable control ring and button, and is protected against dust and moisture.
Two separate synchronized AF modules take care of fast and precise autofocus, and the stepping motors are quiet enough for video recording. Direct manual focus override is available.
The optical design of the Nikkor Z contains three ED elements, one aspherical ED element, and three aspherical elements, which effectively control various types of aberrations, while Arneo and Nano Crystal coatings minimize ghosting and reflections.
