Description

Zeolite is a natural mineral with micropores that have the property of retaining certain substances and allowing others to pass through.
The addition of zeolite perfectly aerates the soil, promotes the development of the root system and the uniform development of all plants, retains moisture in the root zone up to 40-70% of its weight, acts as a reservoir for storing nutrients: nitrates, phosphates, potassium, trace elements - the most important components for the health and growth of plants. Zeolite retains nutrients in its porous structure until the roots of plants absorb them. The nitrogen absorbed by zeolite does not dissolve in water and is not washed out when watering for a long period of time. Zeolite reduces the use of fertilizers, especially nitrogen, improves the absorption of nutrients by 20-40%.
It is recommended to use zeolite as part of the substrate for all types of orchids. Simply mix 1 part zeolite and 6 parts pine bark.
