Description

The semi-synthetic Motul 4100 POWER 15W-50 oil is developed using Technosynthese® technology. It is specially designed for cars with powerful petrol or diesel engines, turbocharged or with direct injection. It can also be used in multivalve engines, with a catalytic converter, injectors or a carburettor. The lubricant is an ideal choice for all types of fuel: diesel, LPG (Liquefied Petroleum Gas), or leaded/unleaded petrol, should you come across one. Pack size one litre. Specifications: ACEA A3/B3; API SL/CF. Approvals: VW 501.01/505.00; MB-Approval 229.1. ACEA A3/B3 – lubricants with this specification meet some of the highest quality standards. They are intended for high-revving petrol or diesel engines in light vehicles. They are low-viscosity and can be used at extended drain intervals if specified by the engine manufacturer. API SL – specially developed for petrol cars produced between 2001 and 2003. API CF – intended for turbocharged diesels manufactured after 1990. VW 501.01 – suitable for some VW engines produced before 2000. This is an old oil specification and applies only to engines produced before August 1999. After this date the newer VW 502.00 specification is required. VW 505.00 – a specification for engine oils for diesel engines with a CCMC PD-2 performance level. At an SAE 15W-50 viscosity, it allows a maximum evaporation loss of 13%. This is an old specification for cars made before 2000. Never confuse it with 505.01! MB-Approval 229.1 – this approval indicates that oils meeting it can be used in diesel and petrol engines produced in the years 1992 to 2002. The base requirements are higher than those of the ACEA A3/B3 specification. Specialists recommend them for cars produced after 2002, namely petrol M271, M275, M28, as well as diesel OM646, OM647 and OM648. Motul oils produced using Technosynthese® technology stand out for their high quality, and their properties come very close to those of mineral lubricants. According to specialists, if necessary the lubricant can be mixed with synthetic or mineral oils. See more technical information.
