The STIHL SH 86 petrol-powered shredder and vacuum cleaner is suitable for a wide range of shredding and blowing tasks and is ideal for continuous use on large areas. This efficient petrol-powered shredder provides equally powerful support for private users and professionals in both suction and blowing modes. The tool is powered by a STIHL 2-MIX engine. It also offers great ease of use and maintenance. This is evident when starting the STIHL SH 86 engine: STIHL ElastoStart uses an integrated cushioning element to prevent sudden peak loads when starting. The manual fuel pump on the shredder saves you even more effort. Thanks to the infinitely variable speed control, you always have exactly the power that the STIHL SH 86 shredder and vacuum cleaner needs. The throttle lever with stop button can also be infinitely locked. In addition, there is ergonomic one-handed operation with a rubberized grip.

In flower beds or corners where it is difficult to blow away leaves, you can effectively suck up and directly shred the leaves with the STIHL SH 86 vacuum and shredder. The shredding blade made of high-quality steel ensures that the cut material is shredded into small pieces. This material then falls directly into the large 45-litre bag of the SH 86 petrol vacuum cleaner. When used in very dusty areas, you can also equip the machine with the dust-filtering bag for the SH 56 and SH 86, also with a capacity of 45 litres.

The suction unit is equipped as standard with a flat nozzle and a round nozzle. Thanks to these features of the STIHL SH 86 suction unit, you can remove larger quantities of leaves with the blowing function over longer periods of time. The STIHL gutter cleaning set with a 3 m long blowing tube is optionally available for removing dirt and leaves from gutters. When used as a blowing unit or for shredding, the STIHL anti-vibration system protects your muscles and joints.

STIHL 2-Mix engine

WITH HIGH EFFICIENCY. With the STIHL 2-Mix engine, you reduce exhaust emissions and fuel consumption, and thus operating costs. This 2-stroke engine is designed for easy maintenance and uses fuel efficiently even at high power. Use a mixture of gasoline and engine oil as fuel. The STIHL 2-Mix engine meets the strict EU Stage V emissions directive.

Lockable throttle lever with stop button

CONVENIENT ADJUSTMENT OF THE BLOWING POWER. Using the throttle lever, you can change the engine power and thus the blowing power. For this purpose, you can adjust the engine power continuously between idle and full throttle. The throttle lever always remains in the desired position. If you want to switch off the device, simply press the stop button briefly with your thumb. The blower is then immediately ready for operation again.

FOR COMFORTABLE CONTROL. The throttle lever can be locked in any desired position between idle and full throttle, which is especially useful for longer work. It is easily and comfortably adjusted, as your hand always remains on the ergonomic handle.

Manual fuel pump

ENSURES FEWER NUMBER OF PULLS REQUIRED TO START. The manual fuel pump reduces the number of pulls on the starter rope and thus speeds up the starting process. This is especially useful after longer work breaks. To do this, operate the pump several times before starting. This ensures that there is enough gasoline in the system when starting.
