Bookshelf speakers (HiFi)

JBL Stage 250B Espresso speakers, pair of bookshelf HiFi speakers

Studio sound from JBL in a compact body for a shelf or stand.

JBL Stage 250B Espresso is a pair of passive bookshelf speakers from the second generation of the Stage series, created for music and home theater. Each speaker combines a 130 mm polycellulose woofer-midrange driver and a 25 mm aluminum tweeter with an HDI waveguide. They work as main front speakers in stereo or as surrounds in a home theater system.

HDI waveguide for a clear and stable sound image

JBL Stage 250B uses the patented HDI waveguide (a profiled horn around the tweeter that directs the high frequencies). This keeps vocals and details focused, and the sound changes less when moving around the room.

130 mm woofer with deep JBL bass

The ribbed polycellulose cone in Stage 250B moves enough air for a rich low register from a small cabinet. The rear bass reflex port extends the bass, so leave a few centimeters from the wall for the cleanest result.

Compatibility with amplifiers from 20 to 150 W

Stage 250B is a passive model with an impedance of 6 ohms and a recommended amplifier power of 20–150 W — a range that covers most stereo amplifiers and home AV receivers. The binding post terminals accept bare wire, pins, or banana plugs.

Magnetic grille and non-slip feet

The fabric grille of the JBL Stage 250B attaches magnetically, so the front panel remains clean with no visible holes. The included rubber feet keep the speaker stable on a shelf, cabinet, or stand and reduce vibrations.
