Kånken was created to provide proper back posture and to prevent back pain, especially among Swedish children. Created in 1978, the backpack quickly became an enduring part of children's lives in Sweden and spread to preschools and outdoor schools across the country. Today, after more than 35 years, Kånken continues to be one of Fjällräven's most beloved backpacks, used by people around the world for school, work, travel and hiking. Made from Vinylon F, a durable and lightweight material that resists dirt and moisture, this backpack is the perfect everyday companion. The main compartment is spacious and offers easy access thanks to its large zip opening. The backpack has two flat side pockets and one front zip pocket, ideal for storing small items you want to reach easily.
Kånken also includes a seat pad made of PE foam, stored in the inner back pocket. This pad prevents pressure on your back and is always at hand when you need a rest, wherever you are. The backpack's carrying system is simple but practical, with top handles and thin, adjustable shoulder straps. The logo on the front of the backpack has reflective properties for increased visibility. The main compartment also has a name and address label, which is convenient for marking the backpack.
