As a true 4K HDMI EDID emulator, the VC081A is designed to emulate and store one set of EDID from the connected
display while facilitating the transmission of 4K video. By learning the EDID from the HDMI display and forwarding it to the
video source, the VC081A helps eliminate video communication problems that occur due to an error at
EDID data synchronization between the HDMI video source and the connected display. This adapter contains a unique
"learn button switch" to allow EDID to be efficiently learned and saved. Once the EDIDs are
remembered, the VC081A can be used to keep a computer or server awake from a remote location over IP instead of
from the monitor. VC081A is an ideal device to avoid dark or flickering display problems caused by communication
errors between sources and displays.
