Description

Purslane is an annual plant. It reaches a height of 15 - 20 cm. The stems are lying on the ground and spread sideways, not in height. It blooms in June and July, the seeds ripen by August. The flowers are pollinated by insects. They are silky smooth, with an orange, yellow, cyclamen or deep red color. Purslane does not tolerate shade. It prefers well-drained light (sandy) or clay soils.
