Innovative petrol saw

Mid-range petrol chainsaw with versatile applications. Economical, clean and low-vibration. Compared to conventional STIHL two-stroke engines with the same power but without 2-MIX technology, its fuel consumption is up to 20% lower and the level of harmful emissions in the exhaust gases is reduced by up to 50%. Suitable for growing young plants, thinning and harvesting round materials, use in construction and cutting firewood.

Manual decompression

EFFORTLESS STARTING. The decompression valve makes it easier to start your appliance. When starting, you can open the valve to release some of the compressed mixture from the cylinder. This protects the starting system and you will need less effort to apply to the starter rope.

STIHL 2-Mix engine

WITH HIGH EFFICIENCY. With the STIHL 2-Mix engine, you reduce exhaust emissions and fuel consumption, and thus operating costs. This 2-stroke engine is designed for easy maintenance and uses fuel efficiently even at high power. Use a mixture of gasoline and engine oil as fuel. The STIHL 2-Mix engine meets the strict EU Stage V emissions directive.

STIHL 4-channel technology

FOR LOWER FUEL CONSUMPTION AND HIGH POWER. Thanks to STIHL's 4-channel technology, you can operate your tool with very low fuel consumption and high performance. Four overflow channels swirl the fuel-air mixture before ignition, which leads to optimal fuel combustion and a significant increase in engine efficiency.

Locking nuts

When changing the cutting attachment, the nuts on the guide wheel cover can no longer be lost.

HD2 filter

The HD2 filter, made of polyethylene filter material, has up to 70% finer pores compared to fleece and polyamide filters and filters even the finest dust particles. It is water and oil-tight. Its complete cleaning is very easy. The filter can be installed and removed quickly without the use of tools thanks to the quick connection.

STIHL anti-vibration system

FOR MORE PLEASANT WORK. When your tool is fully deployed, vibrations occur, which are felt primarily in the handle area. The buffer and spring elements of the STIHL anti-vibration system reduce the transmission of vibrations from the engine to the handle and thus to your body. The effect: Your tool sits more firmly in your hand and you can work with significantly less fatigue.

Long-lasting air filter system for chainsaws

LONGER FILTER LIFE. The pre-filter removes larger, coarse particles from the air flow before they can reach the filter itself. The HD2 filter protects the drive mechanism even from fine dust, ensuring a long engine life, long cleaning intervals and easy maintenance for your chainsaw. Only when equipped with a pre-filter and HD2 filter can we speak of a long-lasting filter system for chainsaws. With this system, you benefit from a significantly longer filter life compared to traditional filter systems.

Compensator

LOW MAINTENANCE COSTS. A regulating system in the carburetor, the compensator, by equalizing the pressure ensures that despite the increasing contamination of the air filter, the engine power, the quality of the exhaust gases and the fuel consumption remain almost constant over a long period of time. Therefore, clean the air filter only when there is a noticeable drop in power. This allows you to operate for a long time without maintenance.

Oil pump with flow control

It allows the user to precisely dose the amount of oil supplied depending on the needs. In position E, it is possible to reduce the amount of chain oil supplied by up to 50%. When working with very long cutting attachments or cutting very dry wood, the user is able to adjust the pump so that a larger amount of oil is supplied.

Lateral chain tension

FOR EASY AND SAFE CHAIN ADJUSTMENT. The lateral chain tensioning allows for safe, easy and quick chain adjustment and replacement. The tensioning bolt is operated laterally through the guide wheel cover.

Stihl Ematic system

REDUCES OIL CONSUMPTION. The STIHL Ematic system consists of a STIHL Ematic or Ematic S bar, a STIHL Oilomatic chain and an oil pump with flow control. It ensures that the chain oil reaches where it is needed for lubrication. This can reduce oil consumption by up to 50%. If you often work in dusty conditions or use long bars, the new oil pump system allows you to easily and quickly increase the oil quantity at any time.

Carburetor preheating

Even in the cold months of the year, you can rely on STIHL saws with carburettor preheating. When winter mode is switched on, preheated intake air surrounds the carburettor, preventing it from freezing. Switching from summer to winter mode is done with just one hand movement.

Tool-free oil and fuel tank cap

QUICK AND EASY TO USE. Thanks to the tool-free tank cap, you can open and close the oil and fuel tanks in just a few movements using the bayonet closure.
