Hula-Hoo! from Iello is a dynamic and fun game for 2-6 players aged 8+. Animals from around the world gather for a hula hoop championship, where the goal is to keep the hoop spinning for as long as possible. Players must get rid of all their cards or eliminate the other participants by forcing them to "drop the hoop."
The game combines strategy, quick thinking and unexpected twists that make every match exciting and unpredictable. Each player starts with 5 cards in hand and 5 open cards in front of them. On their turn, they may choose to play one of their open cards or one from their hand. The first player plays any card and requires the next player to play a "higher" or "lower" card. The player may follow this requirement or "double" – play the same card as the previous player. Then everyone must double or break the double with an adjacent card or a joker. A player who cannot play a card drops their hoop and is out of the round. When only one player remains, or when someone gets rid of all their cards, they receive as many points as there were cards played in that round. The first player to reach 77 points wins the game.
