Bigjigs Wooden Board Game - Mancala

You give your child countless exciting moments with this fun board game from Bigjigs. Mancala is a game for two players; the goal is to collect more points than your opponent by moving beads into your extra pocket or by capturing those of your opponent. This fun but simple game comes with two rows of six holes and a long kalaha at each end.

How to play? Start by placing four stones in each hole (do not include the mandalas). Then decide who will go first. On their turn, players must gather all the beads in a chosen hole on their side of the board and drop them one by one into the following holes in a counterclockwise direction.

Players may place beads in their own kalaha (as it counts as a hole), but they may not place them in their opponent's kalaha. Placing beads in your opponent's pits is allowed. The game ends when one of the players cannot move – there are no beads in their row. When this happens, all remaining beads in the opponent's holes are added to the opponent's score. The player with more points wins the game.

The game will develop counting skills, logical and strategic thinking.
