Exterior e water-based azure coating for wood protection in exterior use.
- protects against moisture, UV rays and other harmful environmental influences;
- contains a film preservative that prevents the growth of mould and algae on the surface;
- non-blocking;
- 9 colour shades.
Special UV absorbers and nano filters, together with the other ingredients, effectively protect the wood from moisture, UV rays and other harmful environmental influences. The product contains a film preservative that prevents the growth of mould and algae on the surface of the coating. Since the coating on the window sash and frame does not stick together, we recommend it for protecting building joinery. Exterier gives the surfaces a silky sheen and is produced in 9 standard colour shades.
The naturally transparent Exterier – No. 61 is not suitable for overcoating over a dark azure varnish, nor for treating darker wood species, as the special UV absorbers and nano filters may cause a milky appearance on the surface. In terms of climatic influences, it is less resistant than pigmented Exterier, so it must be renewed more often. When treating wood with Exterier No. 61, 3 applications of azure varnish are recommended.
Warning:
With water-based azure varnishes, when treating wood containing tannin (oak, chestnut, conifer knots), tannin may over time bleed through and appear as yellowing of the surface.
Use:
Before use, Exterier should be stirred thoroughly and applied undiluted, with a brush or roller, in 2 coats (Exterier No. 61 in 3 coats) onto dry, sanded and dust-free wood. Wood being treated for the first time should first be protected with Belinka Impregnant, which guarantees preventive protection against cracking, fungi and mould. The first coat dries for 4 to 6 hours at 20 °C and 65% relative air humidity, after which the next coat may be applied. The temperature during treatment should not be lower than 10 °C. Avoid use in strong sunlight. Tools are cleaned with water and detergents.
