Description
Asplenium (Asplenium Nidus), also known in our country as Bird's Nest Fern, is a species of exotic fern.
In Bulgaria, it is grown as a decorative indoor plant and is one of the most sought-after flowers by amateur gardeners.
The Asplenium is relatively hardy, not fussy, and requires minimal care to thrive.
It is a fast-growing, evergreen plant. It does not flower, but instead captivates with its attractive foliage.
The leaves are broad and glossy, slightly wavy at the edges, forming a rosette.
To thrive successfully, the Asplenium needs intense light.
However, it is important that its location is chosen so that the plant is not exposed to direct sunlight.
In the winter months, the Asplenium should be grown in a room where the temperature is no lower than 15°C.
The Asplenium loves water, so the soil should not be allowed to dry out, but should be kept slightly moist.
However, overwatering and waterlogging must not be allowed, as this can lead to rotting of the root system and death of the plant.
For watering, it is important to use soft, settled water.
