The Monotron is a battery-powered analog synthesizer with a ribbon controller keyboard and newly added features. Its convenient operation and ease of use give you hours of enjoyment and musical exploration.
Dual oscillator with X-Mod design
Featuring two oscillators, the Monotron DUO adds an extra dimension, delivering an even more extreme sound. Tune the oscillators in unison for a rich, thick analog tone. Tune them at intervals for classic solo sounds and generating new effects. The X-MOD (cross modulation) circuit, taken from Korg's classic Mono/Poly, can introduce a soft or sharp tone to the overall sound - everything from rich vibrato to extreme metallic sounds reminiscent of an FM synthesizer.
Improved ribbon controller keyboard
The Monotron DUO ribbon controller keyboard now includes the familiar Scale function found in the Kaossilator. You can use this button to select one of four scales: chromatic, major, minor, or off.
Fully adjustable filter
The input jack (AUX input) built into the Monotron DUO's compact body allows you to place any audio source in the signal path directly before the analog filter. This provides a great way to connect a device like a Kaossilator, guitar, or digital audio player and enjoy filter effects.
Portability
The Monotron DUO has a built-in miniature speaker. Together with battery operation and its compact size, this feature allows you to enjoy sharing the analog synthesized sound of the Monotron DUO with your friends, anywhere, anytime. There is also a headphone output that you can use when practicing privately, creating sounds at home, recording, or connecting to an amplifier or PA system.
