Obiektyw Viltrox AF 15mm F1.7 Air Sony E

Viltrox AF 15 mm f/1.7 E is a wide-angle prime lens with autofocus, designed for mirrorless cameras with an E-Mount and APS-C sensor. With an equivalent focal length of about 22.5 mm (full-frame), it is suitable for landscape, street and architectural photography, interiors, vlogging and video.

Optics and Image Quality

The lens has an optical design of 12 elements in 10 groups, including low-dispersion and aspherical elements. This helps achieve good sharpness in the centre and edges of the frame, control of chromatic aberrations and good contrast. At full aperture, slight vignetting may be visible, which is easily corrected in post-processing.

Light-Gathering Power

The maximum aperture of f/1.7 allows shooting in low light and gives the option of a shallower depth of field, which is rare for wide-angle lenses. The minimum aperture is f/16.

Autofocus and Control

The lens uses an STM motor, which provides fast, accurate and relatively quiet autofocus, suitable for both photography and video.

Aperture and Bokeh

The diaphragm has 9 blades, which contributes to softer and more pleasing bokeh with close subjects, even though the lens is wide-angle.

Minimum Focusing Distance

The minimum focusing distance is ~23 cm, which allows shooting details and close-ups with pronounced perspective.

Construction and Dimensions

The lens is compact, has a metal mount and a sturdy yet lightweight construction, which makes it convenient for everyday carrying and travel. It accepts standard 58 mm filters.

Viltrox AF 15 mm f/1.7 E is a good choice for amateur and advanced photographers looking for an affordable, fast wide-angle autofocus lens for an APS-C camera on Sony. It is also suitable for video creators who value compactness and a wide field of view.
